What does Eloping actually mean?
The text book definition of "elopement" is the act of leaving home secretly in order to get married. Today, we elope freely and, in New Zealand, this is to whoever we want!
"Elopements can be anything you want them to be! That's the most empowering notion. It can be at a dedicated venue who caters for eloping couples or it could be off in the middle of the wilderness, or your favourite destination beach or holiday spot or as far as on top of the most beautiful peak mountain.
Where you decide to marry your lover is completely up to you - I am ready for you here, there or anywhere!
A dreamy destination, on top of a mountain in Queenstown, a boutique New Zealand venue or even your own back garden.
We are so lucky to have such a beautiful countryside and so many incredible locations to elope to. In new Zealand we have barely touched beaches of the Far North, the dramatic caves of the Coromandel, the stunning vineyards and farmlands of the South Island and of course Queenstown - world-famous for destination elopements and weddings from the mountain peaks to the deep blue lakes.

If you just require the basics, you would only need a celebrant. I am connected to so many wonderful celebrants throughout New Zealand so can recommend some for your location.
If you are eloping just the two of you, then we just need one other person to be a witness at your location. This can be a guest, a family member, a friend, a stranger, a helicopter pilot... see my post here on "What you need to get legally married in NZ"

How far will you travel for an elopement?
I travel within New Zealand and as I love an adventure I can travel abroad. Travel costs and accomodation is additional to my elopement packages if outside of Auckland.
How do we find a celebrant?
I am connected to many wonderful celebrants and also access to celebrant directories.
How many hours photography will we need?
To help decide how many hours you want to book for, consider that your ceremony is usually between 15-30 minutes in length. Hair and Makeup is 2 hours prior if on location or if travelling to you destination ceremony consider the travel time also. Photos post-ceremony can be as little as 15 mins if just the two of you and up to your maximum package time.
I am happy to add hours on to your package or you may find that we need a half day or a full day for your elopement where I can create a unique offer just for you two.
